The Whole Body Cryotherapy cold sauna employs the use of liquid nitrogen that produces ice cold, however, dry mist which swiftly lowers the skin’s core temperature to approximately 10°C for a period of up to three minutes. Most definitely. The liquid nitrogen being utilized during the cryo treatment procedure as a cooling agent does not come into contact with the skin. A trained professional is present at all times during the treatment, monitoring your comfort and temperature levels. We use a cryosauna with a magnetic door closure that opens easily, unlike other competitors’ models that could accidentally get locked. Not at all. Nitrogen is a non-toxic gas that makes up 78% of the air we breathe so rest assured to safely step into the Cryosauna cabin.

No, the immediate response to the freezing cryo treatment is a rise in the body’s internal temperature for a short duration. However, in the long run the overall stimulation of the immune system will work to prevent the recurrence and severity of future colds.

We recommend a maintenance program for optimal results, repeating the series of treatments every three month period (individual needs may vary). Professional athletes will require a more vigorous course of cryo treatment with up to two sessions a day to achieve increased performance.
Although the overall feeling is that of extreme cold, in reality this is only a perceived response that puts the body in a state of alert. Whole Body Cryotherapy utilizes hyper-cooled air flow that cools the outer layers of the skin but never freezes skin tissues, muscles or organs. The dry cold holds no moisture, which makes this treatment tolerable even to those who consider themselves cold-intolerant. It is simply not possible to achieve the same effect without a nitrogen-based solution. For a cryo effect to take place, the skin’s surface needs to drop to 10°C at minimum in a span of 30-60 seconds, which is impossible to reach using electric devices or ice-based solutions. Any attempts at achieving similar results will be long and far from painless; while 2-3 minutes of concentrated nitrogen cooling will yield ideal results with minimal recovery time.
