How Often Should You Do Cryotherapy?

Many of our Cryotherapy Toronto clients wonder how often should you do Cryotherapy treatments. The answer is that it all depends on each person’s health goals, current condition, and schedule! Yet consistency is key!

Just like regular weekly exercise workouts are necessary for continuous weight loss results, regular Whole Body Cryotherapy sessions are crucial to keeping inflammation reduced and immune system boosted. Without consistency, inflammation may continue to grow in the body or reappear if you don’t follow through with the suggested regimen.

How often should you do cryotherapy if you are more ‘ambitious’ (health-wise) and are looking to speed up your results? In this case, consider “jump-starting” your recovery program with an initial two weeks of Whole Body Cryotherapy treatments 5 times a week. This can more intensely cleanse your body of inflammation before switching to the recommended number of maintenance sessions each week thereafter. Here’s a convenient list to help you decide how often should you do Cryotherapy:

At our Cryotherapy Toronto center, we offer multiple cryosauna packages that can help you maintain consistent Cryotherapy sessions around your schedule and lifestyle, at a reduced price (when purchased as a package). When unsure about what would work best for you, we will help you find one that fits your needs. To help you choose the right treatment frequency plan, check out some questions you should ask yourself:

-How many days a week would you realistically be able to make it to Cryotherapy Toronto?

-How frequently do you workout and/or have intense training?

-Do you have chronic pain or a chronic illness (such as rheumatoid arthritis, lower back pain, seasonal allergies, eczema etc)?

-Have you been in an accident or incurred a sports injury?

– Have you recently had or about to have a surgery?

-Do you frequently travel out of town or work long hours?

Before diving into whole body cryotherapy (WBC), it’s always best to consult with a healthcare professional. They’ll help you determine how often should you do cryotherapy and the duration of treatment based on your specific health goals and medical history, so you don’t accidentally turn into an icicle. By following the guidelines provided by the WBC facility and not trying to break any records for “longest time spent in the chamber,” you can safely and effectively incorporate WBC into your wellness routine.

And hey, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can always challenge your friends to a “who can handle the cold the longest” competition (just kidding, please don’t do that). But all jokes aside, WBC can be a great way to support your overall health and well-being when done safely and responsibly.
