Cryotherapy for Woodbridge, Ontario: A Short Drive to North York
Our studio is not in Woodbridge. We are in North York, at 4646 Dufferin St, Unit 3, Suite 23, on Dufferin Street just south of Finch Avenue West. What Woodbridge does have is quick highway access: from the Highway 7 corridor, the 400 and 401 bring most residents to us in about 20–25 minutes outside rush hour. That puts a dedicated, experienced cryotherapy studio within easy reach, even if it is not around the corner.
Founder Roman Gersh opened the studio in 2013 as one of Ontario's first dedicated cryotherapy centres, and we have since delivered more than 15,000 sessions. Our clients include hockey players, MMA fighters, runners, office workers with back pain and retirees wanting drug-free joint relief, a mix that will sound familiar to anyone who knows Woodbridge.
Woodbridge is home to many trades and small-business owners, and years of lifting, kneeling and reaching overhead take a toll on backs, knees and shoulders. For that kind of soreness, a targeted session on one zone is often the practical choice. It is quick, there is no downtime, and you can be back at work the same afternoon. Elbows, hips, wrists and ankles can be targeted too, from a $35 intro session plus HST.
It is also a community of hockey and soccer families. Cryotherapy for athletes is not a shortcut, and it does not replace sleep, food or sensible training. Still, many clients find a short whole body session between games or hard practices helps them feel fresher for the next one. Weekend runners and cyclists on the Humber River trails and around Boyd Conservation Area may find the same.
For parents and grandparents living with stiff joints, cold sessions can be a drug-free complement to the care they already receive. Whoever you are, your first visit starts with a free one-on-one consultation, so we can review your health history and any contraindications before you step into the cryosauna. If cold therapy is not right for you, we will tell you plainly.

Looking for cryotherapy near Woodbridge? Our only studio is on Dufferin Street just south of Finch Avenue West, about 20–25 minutes off-peak. The usual route is Highway 7 or Highway 407 east to Highway 400 south, then Highway 401 east to the Dufferin Street exit and north about 2 km. Prefer local roads? Take Steeles Avenue West east to Dufferin Street and turn south. Sessions are by appointment, so call ahead.
- Market Lane village — Take Islington Avenue north from the historic Market Lane core to Highway 7, then head east.
- Weston & Rutherford — From north and east Woodbridge, either road reaches Highway 400 quickly for the trip south.
- Vaughan Mills — The mall sits beside Highway 400, so a session pairs easily with a shopping trip.
- Humber River trails — Coming off the trails near Boyd Conservation Area? Change first, since skin must be dry.

How Does Whole Body Cryotherapy Work?
Whole body cryotherapy uses an open-top cryosauna in which nitrogen vapour chills the air around your body to between −110°C and −195°C. With your head above the rim, you breathe room air, not vapour, while a trained technician watches over the full 2–3 minutes, never more than three. The dry cold feels intense, though the session is over before you know it. As you warm up, circulation returns to the skin, and many clients feel energised and loose. Long-term research is limited.
What Woodbridge Clients Come In For
Goals range from job-site soreness to a stiff hip that slows a morning walk. Many clients report the benefits below, though research is limited and results vary from person to person.
- Post-shift soreness: Physically demanding work strains backs, shoulders and knees; a session may ease that achy feeling.
- Game-week recovery: Between games and practices, many clients find a session leaves their legs feeling less sore.
- Stiff joints: A drug-free complement to your medical care for stiff knees or hips, not a substitute.
- One sore spot: A localized session aims cold air at one knee, shoulder or elbow, with no downtime.
- Steady training: Runners and cyclists may recover more comfortably between long efforts, making routines easier to keep.
- Energy and mood: Many clients say they feel alert and refreshed afterwards, which some find useful on workdays.
What Your First Visit Involves
Plan about 30 minutes, plus the drive. We begin with a free one-on-one consultation about your health history, goals and contraindications, then suggest a personalised plan. Next, you change into minimal clothing: underwear, with a sports bra for women. We provide thermal gloves, socks, slippers and ear protection. Your skin must be dry, which matters if you come straight from the rink. After two to three minutes in the cryosauna there is no downtime, so you can get on with your day.

Whole Body Cryotherapy Woodbridge Clients Can Stick With
The drive is the part to plan around. With a highway trip each way, visits are easiest to keep when they attach to something already on your calendar: a commute into the city, a Saturday errand run, or the trip home from an away game.
Match the session to the goal
- Job-site soreness: localized cryotherapy focuses on one zone per visit; adjoining areas often come along, while a separate region may cost extra.
- Hockey and soccer: a whole body session after a hard game or practice, with our sports recovery guide as background reading.
- Stiff joints: book the consultation and one session, then note how your joints feel the following morning.
- Trail runners and cyclists: a whole body session after your biggest ride or run of the week, when legs feel heaviest.
How often is realistic?
A single session is enough for some people to notice a change. For chronic pain or a training goal, most do best on two to three visits a week, on a schedule your technician recommends. From Woodbridge, two visits a week may be the easier pace to sustain. Because packages never expire, missing a week for a big job or a tournament does not cost you a session. A simple way to start:
- Book the $40 trial, which includes the consultation.
- Try a few sessions over the first two weeks to see how you respond.
- Choose a package only if the results justify the drive.
Booking for a parent or grandparent
Read the full contraindications list together before booking. It includes a pacemaker, a history of stroke, deep vein thrombosis, severe anemia and COPD, among others. Bring any health questions to the free consultation; we would rather pause than guess.
